The Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation unit replaced outdated on-premises legacy systems with DekkoSecure, streamlining evidence management from collection to courtroom presentation. The new platform provided essential attribution capabilities, enabling detailed tracking of digital evidence by crime types, case status, response dates, and more. DekkoSecure automated the previously manual evidence-sharing process, which had involved multiple steps across various disconnected systems. This automation significantly reduced operational costs, eliminated data silos, and ensured secure and efficient digital evidence management.

Facing fragmented internal collaboration and limited capabilities using network drives, the Ogden City Police Department adopted DekkoSecure’s unified platform. DekkoSecure now serves as the centralized hub for internal sharing and securely collecting digital evidence from partner agencies, accommodating both authenticated users and ad hoc submissions via the “public submissions” feature. For highly sensitive cases—which previously required dedicated devices and isolated networks—the platform now securely isolates data digitally, ensuring robust security without compromising accessibility. As a result, investigations accelerated, auditability improved, and administrative overhead significantly reduced.

The County Attorney’s Office transitioned from a generic cloud-based file-sharing solution to DekkoSecure, gaining powerful attribution capabilities that aligned seamlessly with their existing case management systems. DekkoSecure enabled the office to implement highly specific and structured case workflows tailored to stakeholder priorities, such as evidence organization and controlled sharing with relevant parties, including defense attorneys. By centralizing evidence management and collaboration on a secure, integrated platform, the office enhanced operational efficiency, shortened discovery timelines, and strengthened evidence security and accuracy.
