The cyber crime group responsible for the devastating JBS Foods hacking has itself been hacked.

What You Need To Know: The ransomware group, REvil, was hacked and forced offline this week in a multi-country operation lead by U.S. intelligence agencies.


Cyber intelligence specialists were able to hack REvil’s network infrastructure, gaining control of some of their servers. Posts from a leadership figure in the group were found on dark-web forums last week, “the server was compromised, and they were looking for me…good luck everyone, I’m off.”

Australia's new international vaccine certificate gets a tick of approval from digital security experts.

After an Australian developer found that the existing certificate could be forged using basic software in as little as ten minutes, the Federal Government received significant criticism for its vaccine certificate.


The newest version of the certificate includes a unique QR code, to improve authentication and reduce the risk of forgery.
